Aloo Gobi (potatoes & cauliflower) is a popular Indian dish in which potatoes and cauliflower are cooked with onions, tomatoes and spices. This dish can be made in several ways; here is a no oil version. It has onions, tomatoes, ginger, and garlic and spices!
Ingredients:
Cauliflower – 1 Cup (100 gms)
Potato – 2 medium (100 gms)
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Tomato – 2 finely chopped
Ginger & Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
Amchur Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala – 1tsp
Cumin & Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Kasturi methi – 1 tsp
Haldi powder – ½ tsp
Red Chilli powder – ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander for Garnishing
Method:
- Wash the Potato & Cauliflower.
- Parboil potato & cauliflower
- Peel the potato & dice it
- Heat a pan & add the finely chopped onion stir for 2 mins
- Add chopped tomatoes & cook for 3 mins
- Add ginger garlic paste & cook for 1 to 2 mins
- Now add all the powders (Haldi, Chilli powder, cumin-coriander powder)
- Add the parboiled potato & cauliflower, stir well
- Add garam masala, kasuri methi & salt to taste, cover the pan & let it cook for 3 to 5 mins
- Garnish with coriander & serve hot with rotis.
